Great Product

Reviewer: Roman Cecilia,
This is a great product in its class. I have used it for over 5 years, slicing potato in various shapes, also carrots and cucumbers for salad. It works great. I never have an accident using it. It is just a matter of having brains to know the blade is very sharp and avoid your hands. When close to the blade, just use the plastic handle. I cannot ask for a better mandolin slicer. The blade last for years sharp and clean. Just washed under the running water and let it dry by itself.
Works good. Cheaper at Harbor Freight

I just bought this exact same slicer at my local Harbor Freight hardware store for $4.99 (actually $3.99 since I had a Harbor Freight 20% off coupon you can find easily on Google). Only difference between the one I bought and the one advertised here is the generic packaging.

So far I've used it to slice perfectly round and thin onion slices for topping off my hamburgers. For that it works beautifully. Can't wait to try it on cucumbers and tomatoes for some salads.

Not the best

I bought this to replace one I gave my sister. I really don't remember the brand of the other. This one is not nearly as user friendly. Just doesn't do that good of a job slicing veggies. Wish I could ask for my old one back!!

This is a verrry basic slicer and dicer. It did a decent job initially, but the blades became dull after only a few uses.
I continued to use it after it became dull and had to use so much force the teeth on the safety grip broke off in the onion I was slicing. I am now shopping for a replacement---focusing on quality rather than price.
Cut the tip of my finger off!

Reviewer: Julia J. Benincosa,
The "finger guard" doesn't work very well. Doesn't dig into the item and I ended up cutting the tip of my finger off. :( This item's going to be headed to File 13!
