Better if you need to mount on wall

| It has holes in the top that are visible when you use the 2 included strips to hold 2 halves together. Would have been better if I had room to hang on the wall. It is adequate but not as good as my very old Kamenstein. |
Sorry, But I Can't Recommend This Product

| I had high hopes for this to be a decent product, considering the brand name, but I'm sorry to say that it's junk. First of all, the bottle opener/corkscrew tool was broken straight out of the box. Second, I couldn't get the caddy assembled correctly. The two halves are held together by plastic slider bars (for lack of a better word), and the tracks the bars slide onto are obviously a bit too large. I even tried hammering them to the point I feared they'd break, and the slider bars still won't slide all the way down. Maybe my husband will have some suggestions when he gets home later. Third, nearly all the utensils are cheap made-in-China junk. The pizza cutter and can opener are JOKES ... worse than what the local dollar store sells. The spatula and spoons are "okay", but if I flex them ever-so-slightly, they make cracking noises. That can't be good. :-/ And the measuring cups and spoons are acceptable, with the units of measure molded into the plastic rather than being printed on. Two stars is the best I can manage on this product, and that's being generous on account of the measuring spoons/cups. For someone just starting out, it *might* be okay (IF they can get the caddy assembled!), but for anyone who cooks frequently (like me), it's not worth the price. And for me, it's not worth having to pay the shipping to send it back. :-( |
