This food chopper is a handy item to have in the kitchen. Great for chopping vegetables and some meats. takes a little arm strength, but worth it. I don't have to pull out the big food processor, the Cuisinart Food Chopper is handy for a quick job. The thing I really like about it, is I don't have the liqiud that the big food processor gives. For some dishes the liquid just isn't a good idea. I use this food chopper very often. It's handy, quick, you can also chop as fine or as thick as you need. It can be a little difficult to clean, but I bought a toothbrush especially to clean the food chopper with...works very nice...I would reccommend this tool for anyone who needs to save time....

An excellent replacement for our 8 year old chopper . . . and built much heavier, so it chops quicker and easier. The padded top is "hand friendly" and absorbs a lot of the contact impact. The blade assembly is easily removed, so cleaning is a breeze.
This is the one to buy. It's well designed, works great, and looks good! |
Nice for small things

This is a nice chopper for small things - love the pink. You still have to cut up the pieces to fit but beats digging out and cleaning the food processor. My only complaint is it's kind of hard to clean and small. For cleaning, it's not fun. If you rinse it right away and leave it to air dry it's fine but if you don't, it's very hard to scrub. I wouldn't leave it soaking in water - not sure if it would rust but it would be garbage if it did. I also don't recommend chopping on the pink plastic cap on the bottom - I have some small cut marks when pressed just once to see how sturdy that part was. I use a cutting board instead. Again, not sure if this will dull the blades but so far they're fine. I'm thinking this won't last forever but the pink color is great and so far so good. I recommend.
Works very well for the money

I am happy with it. Have used 3 times and works as advertised. Hard to clean with the tight angles and corners (as are all choppers). Would like to be sharper, but works well for price paid.
Very helpful

I used this item to make some fruit salsa. Most of my items were quite frozen still when I put them into the chopper and chopped away. It did an excellent job. It was also quite easy to clean up since it come completely apart. Now, I will say that because I chopped frozen stuff, my blade did bend a tiny bit. It's not a big deal and it still works perfectly. I just moved it back and it's perfectly fine. However, I won't be chopping frozen items again. It's a wonderful item and I will be using it soon for thanksgiving.
